About Ray Mackenzie Backhoeing
A two-generation family septic and excavation business in Mount Albion.
A family business
Ray started the business and is still an active operator. His son Dave now owns it. The two of them do the work themselves, with experience passed from one generation to the next.
Why people choose us
Experience helps us offer more than one answer. We look for repair options before recommending a replacement and fit the work to what the homeowner needs.
- Two generations of hands-on experience
- PEI septic contractor's licence
- Certified septic pumper
- Licensed site assessor
Who we are
Dave has worked in the business for over 25 years and took over ownership in the last couple of years. We work for homeowners, for builders and contractors who come back to us year after year, and for buyers and realtors who need a pre-purchase inspection.

Our equipment
We use an excavator, skid steer, backhoe, vacuum truck and dump trucks. A couple of tractors handle snow removal.
